What you will do

As a Sales Engineer, no day is the same. You are frequently on the road to customers at home and abroad to take measurements and maintain relationships. You combine field work with analysis and sales activities in the office.

  • Diagnosis and analysis: You translate complex measurement data into clear reports. You identify Power Quality pain points and determine which solution (such as active filters or capacitor banks) is required.
  • Consulting and quoting: You discuss your findings with the customer. You propose the solution, make the technical translation into a commercial offer and ensure follow-up.
  • Relationship management: You build lasting relationships with installers (such as Heijmans, Unica) and end customers (such as Heineken, hospitals). You are their first point of contact for technical issues.
  • Simulation and Calculation: If required, perform simulations and THD calculations to technically underpin your advice and convince the customer of the need.
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with the marketing department to develop customer cases and with inside sales for project realisation.
  • Commissioning: For sold projects, you (schedule permitting) take care of commissioning to ensure that your advised solution works.

What you can

To be successful as a Sales Engineer at HyTEPS, you have a unique combination of technical expertise and social intelligence. You are able to make complex matters understandable to various interlocutors, from the technical department to management. You do not shy away from a complex failure and take responsibility for getting to the bottom of the problem.

  • Education and level: You will have a completed WO-Master or HBO education, preferably in the field of electrical or energy engineering.
  • Expertise: You have demonstrable affinity or knowledge in the field of Power Quality, harmonics and electrical installations.
  • Communication: You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexibility: You do not have a 9-to-5 mentality and find it challenging to travel abroad for work.
  • Customer focus: You move easily in new environments and know how to gain trust through your expertise.
  • Independence: You have a high sense of responsibility, analytical thinking skills and a valid driving licence B.
