What you will do

As a Software Engineer at HyTEPS, you will be pivotal in our analysis process. You will identify, analyse and solve challenging problems within electrical installations of our global customers. Your focus is on unlocking and interpreting data.

  • Energy Management Software: You will be responsible for data export, interpretation and consultancy in the field of energy management systems, developing software-based tools to increase efficiency.
  • Specialist Equipment: You configure and fine-tune the software control of critical components such as active harmonic filters, capacitor banks and advanced Power Quality meters and analysers to ensure optimal Power Quality.
  • Data Analysis & Diagnostics: You manage databases and analyse complex datasets derived from continuous waveform recording to identify invisible Power Quality problems, such as transients and harmonic contamination, before they lead to production stops.
  • Commissioning & Configuration: You will software commission innovative products at customer sites, ensuring that the parameters seamlessly match the specific characteristics of the local installation.
  • Simulation & Modelling: You will support the simulations department, carrying out advanced simulations and THD calculations to predict the impact of new loads or changes in the installation, ensuring the operational reliability of our customers.

What you can

As the 'Power Quality Doctor' of the future, you have keen analytical skills and a great passion for complex technology. You recognise yourself in a profile that combines expertise with a high sense of responsibility for our customers' installations. With your knowledge and independence, you are able to turn technical challenges into certainty.

  • Education & Level of Thought: You have a completed WO-Master's or HBO degree, preferably in Software Engineering, Data Engineering or Network Engineering. You have in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering and cloud systems. Knowledge of energy issues is a plus. You have a strong affinity with software, data analysis and working with simulation tools to solve complex installation issues.
  • Communication & Language: Your command of the English language is excellent. Command of the Dutch language is a plus. This is essential for preparing our accurate international reports and translating technical complexity into understandable advice.
  • Flexibility & Deployment: You are willing to travel internationally and do not have a 9-to-5 mentality, as critical problems in complex installations do not adhere to office hours. You are customer-oriented and move easily within diverse environments, from data centres to heavy industry.
  • Independence: A high degree of independence and a strong sense of responsibility come naturally to you. You work accurately, have a driving licence B and live in the Netherlands.
  • Expertise & Passion: You have in-depth knowledge of, or a very strong interest in, Power Quality phenomena. You have excellent programming knowledge and are well versed in Python and Java. Knowledge of UI Design is a plus. You have excellent data analytical skills and are familiar with Grafana and Power BI. You are familiar with Windows, Linux and Azure. You are driven to identify the cause of invisible problems in electrical installations through proactive diagnosis.
