At extremely high field strengths, electromagnetic fields can affect the human body, but in standard situations within industry the main concern is danger to machines and processes. Indirectly, EMC can indeed be dangerous for people: if a safety circuit, crane control or medical equipment fails due to a malfunction, direct safety risks arise.
