Many organisations, often unconsciously, do not have an exact picture of what is really going on in their electrical infrastructure. Often, attention is paid only when the lights go out, a production line breaks down or a transformer burns out. This reactive management - waiting for things to go wrong - is a dangerous strategy in today's era of complex power electronics (such as LED lighting, EV chargers and AC drives).
An electrical installation is constantly under pressure. Phenomena such as harmonic contamination, voltage dips, transients and reactive current pose a constant threat to your equipment. Without permanent monitoring, these problems are invisible until the damage is done. Not only does this put you at financial risk due to downtime, but you may also fail to comply with applicable standards such as EN 50160. In addition, undetected overloads can lead to dangerous situations, including fire hazards.
HyTEPS transforms your installation from a 'black box' to a transparent and manageable system. By continuously measuring and monitoring, you can spot problems long before they escalate into calamities. In our view, monitoring is therefore not a cost item, but a necessary insurance for your primary business process.
Monitoring is often unfairly reduced to "putting up a meter". But to actually convert data into operational reliability and efficiency, a chain of measures is needed. HyTEPS is unique in the market because we control and implement this complete chain. We seamlessly connect Operational Technology (OT) with your Information Technology (IT) to give you one working system.
Our integrated approach rests on four inseparable pillars:

As a result, you do not have to deal with four different parties (a supplier, an installer, a software builder and a consultant). HyTEPS relieves you completely, so you can be sure that the data is correct and the technology works.
The quality of your decisions depends directly on the quality of your data. If the input is inaccurate, the analysis is worthless. That is why HyTEPS works exclusively with high-quality measuring instruments that comply with the strictest international standards. Whether you are looking for a simple kWh meter for internal settlement or an advanced Class A Power Quality Analyzer for in-depth grid analysis; we have the right solution.

Our hardware stands out in three crucial areas:
We supply and install meters for every layer in your installation pyramid: from the main distributor (incoming field) to the individual end group or machine. This allows you to create a finely-meshed measurement network that directly locates the source of any disturbance.
Hardware generates data, but software creates insight. Without proper visualisation, you will drown in numbers. Our Power Quality Software collects the measurement data from all your meters in one clear dashboard. Depending on your data security policy, we implement this locally on your own server (On-Premise) or in a highly secure Cloud environment.
The software is modular and serves both the facility manager and the technical specialist:

With our software, you make the transition from reactive maintenance ("there is a fault, call the engineer") to proactive management ("we see a trend that could become a fault next week, let's intervene").
Where monitoring stops at 'insight', an Energy Management System (EMS) goes a step further to 'action'. An EMS actively controls your installation. It is the brain that communicates with your consumers (such as charging stations, heat pumps, HVAC or production lines), your generators (solar energy) and your storage systems (batteries) to optimise energy flows in real time.

Strategic applications of the HyTEPS EMS:
Note: The HyTEPS Safety Guarantee This is where we make a difference. Many EMS providers look purely at financial optimisation. They switch large capacities on and off abruptly to save money. However, this frequent and hard switching can cause huge Power Quality problems (such as voltage dips, inrush currents and transients). HyTEPS is unique because our EMS is Power Quality aware. We control your power flows, while continuously monitoring whether the technical limits of voltage and power quality are not exceeded. We guarantee that savings never come at the expense of the lifetime of your installation. So you save costs without scrapping your assets.
The biggest stumbling block in monitoring projects is often the implementation phase. Meters are physically hung, but then not configured. IP addresses are not released by IT. Data does not arrive in the dashboard. The result is an investment that does not pay off. HyTEPS takes this worry completely out of your hands.
Our engineers take care of complete commissioning from A to Z:

Upon completion, you will receive a fully functioning system, tested and validated, including a delivery report and training for your staff.
A dashboard full of graphs is valuable, but interpreting them correctly is priceless. When the THD(u) rises or 'flicker' is measured, what does this mean concretely for your machines? Is immediate intervention necessary or is it an acceptable deviation? Data without context is just noise.

HyTEPS' engineers therefore look with you. We offer periodic analysis services where we study your measurement data in depth. We act as the 'cardiologist' of your electrical installation:
Whether you opt for a one-off 'second opinion' for an unexplained failure, or a periodic subscription for continuous monitoring: our expertise guarantees that you not only collect data, but actually benefit from it.
With more than 18 years of experience, HyTEPS is the specialist in Power Quality and energy monitoring in the Benelux. We are not a box shopper, but a high-quality knowledge partner. Our engineers work daily in the most critical environments: from academic hospitals and data centres to super yachts and heavy industry.
Energy monitoring focuses on quantity: how many kWh do you consume, where and when? This focuses on costs and savings. Power quality monitoring looks at the quality of that energy: how pure is the voltage (sine wave form), are there harmonics, dips or peaks? For high reliability, you need both insights.
Yes, absolutely. Our EMS is brand-independent and can communicate with various inverters, battery systems (BESS) and charging stations. This allows you to store energy at low prices and use it at high prices or peak times, fully automated.
Not necessary. Monitoring can be done locally (offline), with data stored on the meter or a local server. However, functionalities such as remote support, automatic updates and cloud reports do require a (secure) internet connection. We can also provide independent 4G routers for this purpose.
This means that we do not leave until the system is working. We physically check the installation of the meters in the cabinet, configure the software parameters, test the connections to your IT network and instruct your team on how to use the dashboard.
Increasingly so. For larger installations, insurers often require periodic inspections (such as SCIOS Scope 8/10/12) or permanent monitoring to eliminate fire risks due to overloading or poor connections (hotspots).
Don't leave the safety and efficiency of your installation to chance. Start professional monitoring and management today. Our engineers are ready to discuss your situation and outline a tailor-made solution.
