Power Quality in Practice
The ‘Power Quality in Practice – Knowledge & Cases’ training was developed at the request of numerous former trainees. This all-new Power Quality training is more practice-oriented than our other courses and is a perfect follow-up to our ‘Understanding Power Quality’ training. We discuss specific situations that we frequently encounter at our customers and also offer you the possibility to present us with your questions and challenges. By registering, you receive the opportunity to provide us with information about your ‘case’ (More information at the bottom of this page).
Training topics: LED lighting| Solar panels | Main circuit breaker | ? Your input ? | NEN 1010:2015
NEN 1010:2015 in relation to Power Quality
Additionally, we have invited prof.dr.ir. J.F.G. Cobben to explain the NEN 1010:2015 standard in relation to Power Quality. He will focus on explaining what Power Quality is, specific points of note, and prevention of problems in electrical installations. A very complete program, which provides tools for better understanding of practical Power Quality issues.

Additional information on the Knowledge & Cases
During the afternoon session, we will discuss several of our case studies, including:
LED lighting
Problems frequently arise after switching to LED lighting; lamps need to be replaced far sooner than expected, or unexplained failures may occur in other parts of the electrical installation. This may be due to the quality of the actual LED lamps, but very often poor Power Quality turns out to be the underlying cause.
Solar panels
What to think of the increasing number of solar panels being installed? Besides the familiar benefits, these introduce is a lesser-known disadvantage: an elevated voltage level that can sometimes rise above 250 Volts. As a result, this electrical equipment can break down – within the company itself, but also in adjacent businesses.
Main circuit breaker failure
Power Quality problems may occur when the main circuit breaker fails frequently, without any direct cause.
Your input
We offer you the opportunity to contribute to the content of our program. You can share a real-life situation that occurred within your company or a client, something you may have heard about hearsay or perhaps something you came across on the internet. Please mention this during registration. We will list and review the input and discuss the most common or interesting situation(s) during this day of knowledge.
